A friend sent this poem to me, and now whenever I see a dragonfly, I think of Aaron.
Once in a little pond, in the muddy water under the lily pads, there lived a little water beetle community of water beetles. They lived a simple and comfortable life in the pond with few disturbances and interruptions.
Once in a while, sadness would come to the community when one of their fellow beetles would climb the stem of the lily pad and would never be seen again. They knew when this happened; their friend was dead, gone forever.
Then, one day, one little water beetle felt an irresistible urge to climb up that stem. However, he was determined that he would not leave forever. He would come back and tell his friends what he had found at the top.
When he reached the top and climbed out of the water onto the surface of the lily pad, he was so tired, and the sun felt so warm, that he decided he must take a nap. As he slept his body changed and when he woke up, he had turned into a beautiful blue-tailed dragonfly with broad wings and a slender body designed for flying.
So, fly he did! And, as he soared he saw the beauty of a whole new world and a far superior way of life to what he had never known existed.
Then he remembered his beetle friends and how they were thinking by now that he was dead. He wanted to go back to tell them, and explain to them that he was now more alive than he had ever been before. His life had been fulfilled rather than ended.
But, his new body would not go down into the water. He could not get back to tell his friends the good news. Then he understood that their time would come, when they too, would know what he now knew. So, he raised his wings and flew off to his joyous new life!

I believe this is a gift straight from Aaron
He Only Took My Hand
Last night while I was trying to sleep, My son's voice I did hear I opened my eyes and looked around, But he did not appear.
He said: "Mom you've got to listen, You've got to understand God didn't take me from you, mom He only took my hand.
When I called out in pain that day, The instant that I died, He reached down and took my hand, And pulled me to His side.
He pulled me up and saved me From the misery and pain. My body was hurt so badly inside, I could never be the same.
My search is really over now, I've found happiness within, All the answers to my empty dreams And all that might have been.
I love you all and miss you so, And I'll always be nearby. My body's gone forever, But my spirit will never die!
And so, you must all go on now, Live one day at a time. Just understand- God did not take me from you, He only took my hand.

We miss you Boo
Little I knew that morning, God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone, For part of me went with you, The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.

When You Hear The Music by: Jennifer Wiesman
When you hear the music, Listen to me- I’m the one who’s playing.
When you hear the music, Sense me whisper- Listen to what I’m saying.
Although it seems I’m far away: Out of reach, out of touch... I’m never very far away ‘Cause I love you oh so much.
When you hear the music, Feel the beat- I’m here beside you.
When you hear the music, Embrace me- I will guide you.
